Winter Wonderland

In this project, I decided to do a snow theme. Since I had just gotten back from Alaska, I wanted to use some of the pictures I took from my vacation in this photobash. The white snow on the ground, the tracks on the ground and the actual mountains are not my pictures. I found them on Google, using the “usage rights” tool and changing the dropdown to “labeled for reuse with modification”. The dogs, sled, glaciers, glacier cave, and clouds are my pictures. My experience with this project was good, overall. At some point, I had decided to do a night scene with the same pictures used and insert a picture of the Northern Lights. However, the non-destructive and destructive ways of editing every layer and image turned out to look absolutely terrible. I ended up having to delete what I had, go back and start from where I originally saved and started from there again. Thank god for that previous save file! All in all, it was a very enjoyable experience. I learned my mistakes and hope I don’t make them again in the future.
